Catherine Sabino

Catherine Sabino is the author of Italian Style and Italian Country, books focusing on design and living styles in Italy. The two titles were published by Clarkson Potter/​Crown in New York, Thames and Hudson in London; Italian Country also by Chene Publishers in Paris.

Ms. Sabino has been a magazine editor in the US and in Italy, holding senior editorial positions at such publications as Harper’s Bazaar Italia, RAI’s Moda, and Mondadori’s Linea Italiana. She has also been editor-in-chief of In Fashion, Four Seasons Magazine, and British Living and Style.

Last year, she took on a new lifestyle category when writing and producing Stylish Weddings for Less for Filipacchi Publishing.

Ms. Sabino has contributed to Harper’s Bazaar, Connoisseur, Travel and Leisure, House Beautiful and many other publications. She was a finalist in the British Vogue Talent Contest and received a Special Recommendation in the Mademoiselle Guest Editor Contest. Her magazine work has received eight Clarion awards and a Folio award.

She is a graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University, and spent her junior year in Italy, studying with the Universita degli Studi di Pisa. She has lived in Milan, Pisa, Panama City (Panama), Amagansett, and New York, where she currently resides. Ms. Sabino is a sixth-generation New Yorker.
